[Hitachi Systems, Ltd.]Part I: Education and Training for Organizational Resilience and Its Context / Part II: Geopolitical Risks Related to Cyber Domain Issues
DAY 1
16:40-
17:25
Part 1: In recent years, as threats in the cyber domain have gained attention, organizations are required to possess “resilient recovery capabilities”—the ability to adapt flexibly to changing circumstances and recover swiftly. This presentation will introduce the background and specific initiatives we have undertaken to build and strengthen this resilience through education and training. Furthermore, regarding geopolitical risks related to cyber domain issues, Mr. Ohara, Senior Fellow Sasakawa Peace Foundation, who collaborates with our company, will discuss the current trends in the situation and their implications.
Part II: On September 3, 2025, China held a grand military parade to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. President Xi Jinping’s speech at this event reveals the narrative China seeks to convince its citizens of and disseminate to the international community. This narrative could serve as the basis for China to assert legitimacy should it undertake military actions in the near future. Here, we analyze how the narrative China advocates and attempts to spread connects to its military buildup and activities, and examine its potential impact on future regional dynamics.
