Recent years , the growing of satellite and aerospace industries in Asia-Pacific is increasing. Also, the related threat is increasing. This paper examines the cybersecurity threats facing the satellite and aerospace industries in the Asia-Pacific region in recent years. It focuses on analyzing the attack behaviors of Chinese and North Korean hacker groups, including their motivations, targets, and methods. The study finds that North Korean hackers primarily target US and Asian aviation-related entities, aiming to steal technology to support their satellite development program. Chinese hackers, on the other hand, focus on attacking technologically advanced countries such as the US, Russia, and Japan, as well as India and Taiwan, which have political conflicts with China. The article chronologically outlines these attack activities and compares the differences in attack motivations , target selection and techniques between Chinese and North Korean hacker groups.We will share several malwares as case study.
