Hacker X Hacker: a Hack The Box CTF

Hacker X Hacker is a story-driven Capture the Flag where participants take on the role of newly licensed Hackers entering the Cache, a hidden simulation built on top of forgotten digital infrastructure known as the ‘Depth’. Beneath modern networks lie abandoned systems, lost research, hidden financial records and buried truths that were never meant to be rediscovered. Each challenge represents a region of the Cache, requiring players to recover fragments of these forgotten records while navigating increasingly dangerous environments, uncovering the mystery behind its creator, Ryo Amagi, and racing against rival hackers searching for the same prize.

Rather than presenting unrelated challenges, the CTF weaves web, reverse engineering, pwn, forensics, crypto and infrastructure tasks into a cohesive narrative that unfolds as teams progress. Inspired by cyberpunk fiction and real-world security concepts, the experience combines technical depth with environmental storytelling, encouraging exploration, collaboration and problem-solving while delivering a memorable, community-focused competition tailored for the CODE BLUE audience.
